Since 1980, Bob Baggett has been capturing moments and preserving memories through the art of photography. A third-generation native of Tampa with a natural talent for photography, Bob has over four decades of experience and has witnessed and adapted to the evolution of photography—from traditional film development to cutting-edge digital techniques.
The Beginning
Bob started his photography business in 1980 as a film photographer, originally specializing in Black & White film processing. He developed and printed his own work as well as work for other photographers. His studio and darkroom on Azeele Street in Tampa became a hub for quality photography and professional photo processing, with darkroom and labs that are still online today.
Transition to Digital
As technology evolved, so did Bob's expertise. He seamlessly transitioned from film to digital photography, now using the latest technology to assure superior visual products that stand the test of time digitally. This evolution also opened new doors in photo restoration, where Bob's deep understanding of both traditional and digital processes became invaluable. For more than 4 decades, Tampa's businesses have relied on Bob for professional images, such as corporate headshots, to enhance their reputation.
Notable Work & Recognition
Throughout his career, Bob has photographed numerous celebrities, community leaders, and public figures. Notable clients include former Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio, one of Tampa's most respected civic leaders, and executives from Outback Steakhouse. One of his most memorable subjects was Charlie Crist, whom Bob photographed before he became Governor of Florida.
